No. 1: TELEGRAPH RD @ STEWART RD, Frenchtown Twp
According to the list of Monroe County’s Most Dangerous Intersections in 2023, total crashes at this intersection jumped to 28 from 18 in 2022. In 2021 and 2020, there were 43 and 32 total accidents, respectively.
Injuries in 2023 dropped to 3 from 5 in 2022. In 2021 and 2020, there were 7 and 5 injuries, respectively.
No. 2: COLE RD @ N MONROE ST, Frenchtown Township
In 2023, total crashes at this intersection were at their highest in the last four years. There were 27 total motor vehicle accidents in 2023, up from 20 in 2022, 19 in 2021 and 18 in 2020.
Unfortunately, injuries in 2023 more than tripled. There were 19 injuries in 2023, jumping from 6 injuries in 2022. In 2021 and 2020, there were 8 and 7 injuries, respectively.
